It is an almost eerie atmosphere to walk among the car wrecks at the car cemetery outside Tinsryd in Ryd. Here, Åke Danielsson, worked mining peat and in the mid-1940s Åke started the car scrapyard as a side-line. The business was shut down in the mid-1980s. 10 years lagter the cars were to be removed but this never happened and today the place is declared a cult. This is an interesting excursion, and it costs nothing to walk among the wrecks. Important to note is that there are no amenities at this location and only a few parking spaces.
